Dr. Overbey was born into a family devoted to animal rescue work, and she was destined to become a veterinarian from a young age. Her childhood playmates included not only cats and dogs but horses, parrots, an iguana, a squirrel, and even a tarantula.
Dr. Overbey attended Mount Holyoke College in Massachusetts for undergraduate studies and graduated with honors from the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine in 2005. After graduation she moved to Los Angeles and worked at a busy small animal hospital where she remained for the next decade. Her professional interests include care of rescue and shelter pets, dentistry and geriatric medicine. She especially enjoys forming a bond with owners and working with them through the lifetime of their pet.
In 2009 she and her husband welcomed their son, Jacob, and in 2013 their daughter, Becca, was born. Other children in her home include a 3-legged Boxer and three cats (all rescued). After ten years in Los Angeles she and her husband decided to move to the Chicago area to be closer to family. Dr. Overbey enjoys reading, cooking, and spending as much time with her family as possible.

Dr. Lim grew up in Glenview, IL and went to Glenbrook South High School. He had his humble start as a kennel worker at River Trails Animal Hospital. After graduating from Illinois Wesleyan University in 2012 he was hired as a technician with Dr. Nordstrom and the rest of the crew at All Creatures Animal Hospital. Here he was able to develop not only professional interest and a passion for veterinary medicine but meaningful mentors and friends.
After Dr. Lim’s first year in veterinary school he was accepted into a veterinary masters program in Grange, Ireland. Here he worked on a genetic study looking at the biomechanics of disease in Holstein cows. But in his free time he was sure to check out the local pub for a pint of Guinness. After completing his pre-clinical studies at Ross University School of Veterinary medicine, he was accepted into Colorado State University School of Veterinary Medicine for his clinical year.
Dr. Lim currently lives in Glenview with his recently adopted amputee dog from Colorado named Jesse James. In his free time, Dr. Lim likes to backpack in the back-country, snowshoe, bike and travel.
